The trustees of Palliser Regional Schools have a series of budget consultation meetings planned. The first meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, March 2nd in Picture Butte. The second meeting will be the following week in Coaldale. Check the front page of the Palliser website for details.
Teacher appreciation activities were....appreciated! The teachers enjoyed daily treats and won amazing gifts during a whale of a game show activities at the assembly on February 23rd. The highlight was the presentation of a dishwasher for the staffroom. Thank you to Herb's Appliances for helping make the purchase possible.
Information on the frozen pizza fundraiser will go home next week. The kick off to the magazine sales is planned for April and the spring carnival is tentatively scheduled for Friday, May 14th.

One of the goals in our three year plan is to improve the communication between our school council and other parents. Check out our bulletin board in the front entry way which will highlight some of our activities and upcoming events.
A shortened school day on Fridays is being considered by CES and CHS in order to align our schedules with those of city schools. You will have an opportunity to offer input on this proposal. Watch for details to come home in March.
The administration at our school have nominated Mrs. Lisa Furukawa for an Excellence in Teaching award for her work as a consulting teacher. They have also nominated our council for an Award of Merit from the Alberta School Councils Association and our chairperson for a Parent of Distinction award.
Plans are in the works for a series of spring fundraisers including frozen pizza sales, magazine sales and a spring carnival. Watch the web site for more information.
