Hello everyone. We have our parent council meeting on Wednesday. One of the topics will be our procedures on allergies and we are seeking input into the direction our school may take in the future. Come on out! Here is my principal's report that I will follow up with at the meeting.
November Principal’s Report
Random Acts of Kindness
I would like to take a few moments to thank Seana Dietl. Seana toured the school early in the morning last week to distribute small notes for staff and students. These notes were filled with positive commendations and recognition for the hard work done in our school each day. She took the time to write out dozens of small post-it notes which must have taken a long time! Thanks Seana, this gesture had a large impact on the culture of our school.
Remembrance Day Assembly
This Thursday at 10:30 am we will host our annual Remembrance Assembly. This is a joint effort between our staff and students and the Coalhurst branch of the Royal Canadian Legion. If you cannot attend a service on November 11th please consider attending our own assembly to honour the fallen. A special thanks to Mrs. Berberich and Mr. West for running this assembly.
Volleyball is in full swing. We are about halfway through our season and the skills of our players is growing day by day. Our final tournament takes place on November 23rd from 12:30 to about 4:00 pm.
District PD Day
November 13th is a district PD day. All teaching staff from around the district will be choosing their professional development workshops ranging from mathematics, to reading and writing, and First Nations, Metis and Inuit programming.
Report cards will be out on November 23rd.
I am running a feedback session at the November council meeting. Participants will have the opportunity to voice their opinions and contribute to what may end up being a shift in school procedures.
